Child Find is the process of locating, identifying, and evaluating all children, ages zero through 21, suspected of having a disability, who may be in need of special education services. This includes locating children who are not in school, as well as, those who are in school, either public or private, but not receiving special education services.
A referral may be made by a parent or by any person concerned about a child. If you have or know of a child who you suspect has a disability, please contact the Hueneme School District Pupil Support Services office. Parent agreement and involvement is obtained prior to any action. All information about the child and family is kept strictly confidential and privacy rights are protected.
For more information or to report a child living in the Hueneme School District area you believe has a disability, please call the Pupil Support Services office number at 805-488-3588 ext. 9241.
